Patricia's Bio:

My name is Patricia M. Macfarlane. My friends call me Trish. I am an artist. My tools are cameras, lenses, light shadow, color, textures, and Photoshop. My subjects are people (of all ages), horses, flowers, pets, and exotic animals.

After finishing my associate’s degree in fine art studies at St. Petersburg Junior College I attended Pinellas Educational Technical Center and completed an 1800-hour course in their Photography Department. Then I mentored with Bruce Evensen for a couple of years where I learned studio portraiture, lighting, and posing as well as environmental portraiture, lighting, and posing. Also, I learned how to use window light.

Then I started my Photography Business. My love of horses and owning an equestrian center gave me opportunities to photograph people and their horses and their dogs and their exotic animals. As a 4H leader I had the opportunity to photograph many 4H students and their mounts. Over the years I photographed at a few prestigious equestrian shows and some international equestrians and their mounts. My focus now is to continue with my International Equine Portraiture Market and promote my fine art.

For my art projects, I photograph horses, flowers, landscapes, and the world around me for digital composites.

I live on ten acres with my husband David. We have three adult children. I own two horses, one dog, three cats, 16 chickens, and a rooster.
