Pet photographer Joan Walker (Joan H Walker PAWtography/The Traveling PAWtographer) promises a tail-wagging good time learning the ins and outs of pet photography from nose to tail – or from beginning to end – starting with presession preparations, shooting the session itself, and wrapping up with a little on post-processing.

In this no secrets pet adventure, Walker will include:

• Presession consultations with clients: what to ask/what you want to know
• Location choices and what to consider
• What’s in the gear bag (and why)
• Working with nervous/timid/reactionary dogs safely
• Understanding Green/Yellow/Red behaviors (and what to do immediately to get back to green)
• Camera settings
• Lens choices
• Strobe settings
• Modifier use (what to use when)
• Dog handling practices for smoother post processing
• Post processing

The presentation will include before and after imagery, behind-the-scenes shots, outtakes with explanations as to why things went south, working through issues, and lots more.
