Topic: From the Studio to the Street: The Intersection of Portraiture and Photojournalism

From Allan: "Whether it be in the studio, on a location photoshoot with a client, in the streets during a protest or in a war zone, my aim is always to create an image that resonates with real emotion. My drive to photograph people is to capture their authenticity. I do not want to a reflection of myself in my portraits. I rarely ever tell people how to pose, rather I interact with them in a way that allows them to be comfortable enough to be ‘real’. I strive to capture the moment, the essence of an individual at a specific moment in time. My presentation will offer an insight into the techniques I have developed to achieve that goal."

The public is invited. There is a $10 fee for non-members that will be applied to your membership dues if you join our photography club. Non-members do not need to register.
