Topic: A Guide to Lighting for Beach Portraits

Where: Grace Community Church, 4080 Lakewood Ranch Blvd N. Use the church entrance immediately behind the children's playground

Learn the tried-and-true lighting techniques for late-day beach portraiture. The presentation will provide an overview of how to balance ambient illumination and electronic flash/strobe.

The public is invited. There is a $10 fee for non-members that will be applied to your membership dues if you join our photography club. Non-members do not need to register online.

About the Photographer:
My name is Angel Navarro and I am a professional portrait and commercial photographer and photography instructor in the Sarasota and Bradenton areas. I really enjoy my work as a photographer and, hopefully, I can demonstrate that through the imagery I can create for you. I also very much enjoy teaching photography to other emerging photographers, which requires that I also stay on top of my game. You could say, I am continually building on my knowledge of photography as I prepare to teach others the skills I have received.

My work is never the result of coincidence. I have worked hard for nearly two decades perfecting my craft, understanding that great photography is never about good luck. I whole-heartedly believe that great photography is intentional! “Good photography is nice… but, great photography is much better!”
